How To Make An Amazing Instagram Video About Toto Asia
The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding production facilities overseas, and was doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People’s Republic of China. Toto believed that North America as a growth market for Washlet bidet seats and toilets, as opposed to its „base“ markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure that the next generation could read the words. However, many of the words were being replaced by foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
The early history of Toto which began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan’s rapid economic expansion. In the first half of its existence, the company made products to meet the demands of modern and contemporary urban housing. It was the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to profit from sales and new markets. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and market other manufacturers‘ products in order to expand its range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and expand Totopia Kr the firm’s global market share.
In the 90s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company employed the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management and sales program. This resulted in a higher level customer satisfaction.
Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. The most recent toilet features an environmentally friendly, powerful tornado flush. The company uses recycled water for its manufacturing process and has a green buying policy. Toto also manufactures bathtubs, faucets, and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than typical models.
The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It features exhibits on Toto’s most famous products and their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made of ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products like bath units. In a separate gallery you will find Toto products that are sold throughout. The museum also includes a bathroom with a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before forming Toto the band, members of the band did session work for a variety of musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia you’d think that the group would be prog queens and kings however, it’s actually a fairly simple rock band. The band was initially four-piece, and released two albums: 1979’s self-titled debut and 1980’s Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their biggest success came in 1982 when they released Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, however it did not come without its own set of issues. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to deliver an album that was a success or they would rescind them. Toto was able to do this with the help from the hit song „Africa.“
Toto’s musical mastery is a result of their previous experiences in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for ’80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.
This album starts off hard, with songs such as Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly work their hooks into your mind. The album also contains more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and the distorted AOR which could seem like a complete blunder, but works extremely well.
After Toto IV, the band’s fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band had to go through several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band after drug charges. The band continued to play with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Despite the turmoil, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. However, the group managed to release another chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was also the first to feature a new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up
The album’s third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet style of the previous albums. It was a more powerful, consistent effort with a harder edge than Hydra. Its edgier sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group and included drummer Bobby Kimball’s greater virtuosity on drums, and an improved, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich’s keyboard work was as well more refined, more precise and less akin to previous recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live concert in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released their new studio album a few months after, and went on a tour around the world to support the album. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began searching through old tapes & demos to discover songs that hadn’t been recorded prior to. It was completed as a double album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the band’s first album without one single track titled „A“. The album also contained a previously unreleased track titled „Kari-Anne“.
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group’s fourth album, Old Is New was not a commercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that limited his singing ability. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia–Wetton, Palmer, and Howe–convened an event in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of officially reforming the group. This lineup, with the exception of Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time) was later referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
